Labour Law Services

We strive to build positive relations with our clients and to endeavor to maintain dignity, respect and diligence when undertaking sensitive projects. We believe in open and ethical relationships with all parties involved in such undertakings. It is important to receive proper mandates, feedback and assistance as well as constructive criticism.

Assisting and attending to all your companies on-site employee relations functions / facilitations as required under the auspices of the industrial laws of South Africa in pursuance of normalizing and maintaining the employee relations, disciplinary issues and all / any labour & HR legal administrative requirements so needed to assist your company with an outsourced labour relations function.

Consulting services on all employee relations issues, employee interventions, all disciplinary processes, updating of Employee Relations policies and procedures in an effort to reduce the current cost situation and service delivery requirements and in turn, increase efficiency, operational effectiveness and reduce overall disciplinary matters within the business.

We will assist with all the functions needed to undertake specific operational and disciplinary dismissals, all dialogue and correspondence necessary with unions / worker representatives, meetings on-site and letters / correspondence to any affected employees and all correspondence emanating from management. To facilitate all internal disciplinary matters of a serious nature in the capacity as chairperson or initiator and to assist in the effective running of an in-sourced Human Resources and Employee Relations facility. The immediate requirements will be incorporated into a medium strategic plan and any immediate requirements actioned.

For difficult or complex labour legal issues, the services of our Advocate is utilised. This may be for an additional cost dependent on the circumstances and issues at hand.

Retainer Benefit

Your company and senior management will have full but reasonable access to the functions / duties which will include all on-site consultations regarding, inter alai;-:

  • Attending all disciplinary hearings regarding serious offences
  • Appeal hearings following initial disciplinary processes (if applicable)
  • Attend to all grievance procedures and all related correspondence
  • Attend to conflict management situations and resolution efforts
  • The enforcement of contracts of employment
  • The drafting of specific Contracts of Employment where needed
  • Any telephonic queries and written email queries handled
  • Implementation of a revised disciplinary code and procedure if required
  • Handling of poor work performance procedures / ill health etc.
  • Any collective and procedural agreements so required
  • Retrenchments, restructuring and/or downsizing consultations.
  • Attendance at all CCMA hearings within Gauteng / Cape Town / Durban (additional travel costs will be incurred outside of Gauteng)
  • The submission of all objections / correspondence to the CCMA.
  • The submission of Rescissions and / or Condonation Applications to the CCMA if required
  • Provision of all possible assistance / guidance to your HR and Supervisory staff / Managers
  • Attendance at all union negotiations, union meetings
  • Draft / compile / attend to / reply to all union correspondence

INCLUDES ALL travel expenses within Gauteng (only) all communication, electronic communication, telefax expenses and any ad hoc work provided. Additional travel costs are incurred outside of Gauteng.
